Valerie Adams Dream Comes True But What's Holding Her Back?

“Further further further”! as I’m yelling at the tv cheering for NewZealands
Shot Put champion Valerie Adams, to win a gold medal at the London Olympics.
I could feel goose bumps on my arms and butterflies in my stomach.
Valerie Adams wasn’t expecting her throw to be so short.

Next up it was a Russian woman's turn , she looked really strong and bulky.
Her body made me scared because I knew Valerie Adams might be in deep
trouble. She threw her shot put, It went so far, it even went passed Valerie Adams
Throw . I thought that was the end of Valerie Adams chances at winning a Gold Medal.

“Boohoo” I yelled, as they placed the gold medal on the Russian Champion.
I knew Valerie  was not happy with what she got, Valerie won silver!
Valerie was crying as they placed the Silver medal on her neck, I knew it
wasn’t tears of joy it was tears of sadness.

After the Olympics, I heard on the news that New Zealand’s Shot Put champion, Valerie
Adams had won a Gold Medal, because after they’ve placed the Medals on the shot put
champions,They have been doing some drug test and the Russian woman that
won Gold, has been tested positive on taking drugs, so they gave the Gold medal to Valerie Adams. When I heard that Valerie have been given the Gold medal I was filled
with happiness.

Valerie Adams still weren't happy when she had been given, the gold medal.
Valerie wasn’t happy because she didn’t get to stand on the podium and
also didn’t get to hear the audience cheer or sing the national anthem of New Zealand.

I agree with Valerie Adams, why didn’t they get to test the drug results before the
Shot Put Competition? or why didn’t the audience cheer or sing the New Zealand national anthem? “anyway as long as Valerie Adams won a gold medal”.
